# Do Hidden album photos show in Memories or the widget?

Photos builds memories and the widget from your library. The Hidden album isn't part of it.

**Short answer:** **No.** Apple says hidden photos don't appear anywhere else in Photos, **including the Photos widget on your Home Screen**, and Memories are made from your library. Anything featured is outside the Hidden album: a copy you didn't hide, or a Shared Library photo, which Apple adds to every member's memories and widget.

Memories and Featured Photos come from the library, so the Hidden album never feeds them. Unhiding a photo makes it a candidate again.

## Turn off featured content on iOS 18

1. **Open Settings › Apps › Photos.** Open **Settings**, tap **Apps**, then **Photos**. On iOS 26 the switch is in Photos › Collections › your account instead.
2. **Turn off Show Featured Content.** Switch it off to stop memories and featured photos in Photos and the widget.

### Can photos in my Hidden album appear in Memories?

No. Memories are built from your library, and photos in the Hidden album aren't part of it. Apple says hidden photos don't appear anywhere else in Photos. If a hidden-looking picture turns up in a memory, it is a separate copy or a Shared Library photo that nobody hid.

### Where is Show Featured Content on my iPhone?

It depends on the version. On iOS 26, open Photos, tap Collections and tap your account at the top right. On iOS 18 it is in Settings › Apps › Photos. On iOS 16 and 17 it is in Settings › Photos. Turning it off stops memories and featured photos.
