# Does the Hidden album show on iCloud.com?

> Yes. On iCloud.com the Hidden album is in the Photos sidebar, opened with Show Hidden Photos after you sign in. No Face ID there. What protects it instead.

iCloud.com has its own copy of the album, in any browser.

**Short answer:** **Yes.** iCloud.com shows your iCloud Photos library, and Apple's steps there are: select **Hidden** in the sidebar, then **Show Hidden Photos**. You can also hide and unhide on iCloud.com. The protection is your **Apple Account sign-in**, not your iPhone's Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.

## Why it works this way

The Hidden album is part of your iCloud Photos library. Apple's iCloud User Guide says you view hidden photos on iCloud.com by selecting **Hidden** in the sidebar, then **Show Hidden Photos**, and you can stop hiding them there too.

On iCloud.com, signing in to your **Apple Account** is the gate. Your iPhone passcode and the **Use Face ID** switch in Photos settings don't apply in a browser.

Only photos in iCloud Photos reach iCloud.com. If iCloud Photos is off on your iPhone, its Hidden album stays on the iPhone.

### Where is the Hidden album on iCloud.com?

Sign in at icloud.com/photos and look in the sidebar. Select Hidden, then Show Hidden Photos. If the sidebar is collapsed, click the sidebar button at the top left first. Only photos in iCloud Photos appear, so the album is empty there if iCloud Photos is off on your devices.

### Does iCloud.com ask for Face ID to open hidden photos?

No. Your iPhone's Face ID, Touch ID and passcode don't apply on iCloud.com. What protects the Hidden album there is signing in to your Apple Account, so keep that password private and make sure no shared computer stays signed in to iCloud.com.
