# Hidden photos and iCloud: who can see them?

### Can anyone see my hidden photos on iCloud?

Anyone signed in to your Apple Account can see them on iCloud.com or a synced device, after unlocking the Hidden album where a lock applies. People without your account or device passcode can't.

### Do hidden photos transfer to a new iPhone?

Yes. With iCloud Photos, or a backup restore, hidden photos arrive on the new iPhone and stay in its Hidden album.

### Does hiding a photo stop it uploading to iCloud?

No. Hidden photos still upload and sync with iCloud Photos and still use iCloud storage. Hiding only removes them from your library view.

### Can my family see my hidden photos?

Not through Family Sharing; it doesn't share photo libraries. They could see them only if you share one Apple Account, or if you share them in a Shared Album or Shared Library.
