# How to add photos to the Hidden album on iPhone

There's no "add to Hidden" button. **Hiding** a photo is what moves it into the Hidden album.

## Add one photo to the Hidden album

1. **Open the photo.** Open **Photos** and tap the photo or video you want to hide.
2. **Tap ••• then Hide.** Tap the **More** button (•••) at the top right, then tap **Hide**. You can also touch and hold a photo in the grid.
3. **Confirm.** Tap **Hide Photo** (or Hide Video). It moves to the Hidden album, which opens with Face ID or your passcode.

## Add many photos at once

Select works in your library and inside any album.

1. **Select the photos.** Open Photos. In Library, tap **Select**, then tap each photo or video you want to hide.
2. **Tap ••• then Hide.** Tap the **More** button (•••) and choose **Hide**.
3. **Confirm once.** Tap **Hide [number] Photos** to confirm for the whole batch.

### How do I add photos to the Hidden album on iPhone?

Open the photo, tap the More button (•••), tap Hide, then confirm with Hide Photo. That is the only way in: hiding a photo moves it to the Hidden album. You can't drag photos there or add them from the album itself.

### Can I add a whole album to Hidden?

Not in one tap. Open the album, tap Select, then Select All, then More › Hide. All its photos move to Hidden. The empty album stays in your album list unless you delete it.

### Can I hide videos on iPhone?

Yes. Videos hide exactly like photos: open the video, tap More (•••), tap Hide, then Hide Video. They appear in the same Hidden album, mixed with your hidden photos.

### Why can't I see the Hide option?

Make sure you're in the Photos app, not Files or another app. Open the photo itself and tap More (•••) at the top right. Shared album photos can't be hidden; save them to your library first.

### Does hiding a photo hide it from the camera roll?

Yes. A hidden photo leaves your library, which is the modern name for the camera roll. It also leaves your other albums and the Photos widget, and goes to the Hidden album only.

### Is there a limit to how many photos I can hide?

Apple doesn't list one. Hidden photos use the same storage they did before, so the limit is your iPhone and iCloud storage, not the album.
