# The Hidden album isn't syncing to my iPad

**Short answer:** Turn on **Sync this iPad** in **Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Photos** on the iPad (and Sync this iPhone on the iPhone), and check both use the **same Apple Account**. Then open the iPad's **sidebar** and look under **Utilities**. If Hidden isn't listed, turn on **Show Hidden Album** in the iPad's Photos settings.

## Check iCloud Photos on the iPad

1. **Open Settings › your name › iCloud › Photos.** On the iPad, open **Settings**, tap your name, **iCloud**, then **Photos**.
2. **Turn on Sync this iPad.** Switch on **Sync this iPad** and stay on Wi-Fi for a few minutes.
3. **Open the sidebar › Utilities › Hidden.** Open **Photos**, tap the **sidebar** button at the top left, then **Utilities › Hidden**.

### Why don't my hidden iPhone photos show on my iPad?

Hiding syncs only through iCloud Photos between devices on the same Apple Account. Turn on Sync this iPad in Settings, your name, iCloud, Photos, and check that the iPad's account matches your iPhone's. Then open the sidebar in Photos and tap Utilities, then Hidden.

### Is Show Hidden Album set separately on iPad?

Each device has the switch in its own Photos settings, and Apple's steps for iPad are the same as for iPhone: Settings, Apps, Photos, Show Hidden Album. If the iPad lists Utilities without Hidden, turn the switch on there; your hidden photos are unaffected either way.
