hiddenalbumiphone.com is a free guide to one job on iPhone: finding, using and fixing the Hidden album in the iPhone Photos app. It is published by the team behind [VaultForYou](https://www.vaultforyou.app/), a private photo vault app for iPhone.

## How we write each page

1. **Apple first.** Every menu path matches the wording in Apple's iPhone User Guide for the iOS version named on the page.
2. **One answer up top.** The first box on each page answers the question in a few sentences: where to tap, how many steps, and the one catch.
3. **Version-specific.** Paths changed in iOS 16, iOS 18 and iOS 26. Pages show each version separately rather than guessing yours.
4. **No invented numbers.** We don't publish ratings, user counts or statistics we can't source.
5. **Updated on change.** When an iOS update moves a menu, we update the page and its date.

## Our app, and our bias

We make VaultForYou, so weigh our recommendations accordingly. Every page shows the built-in iPhone method first. VaultForYou appears only where a built-in method leaves a gap, such as a lock that isn't your iPhone passcode.

## What VaultForYou does

- Stores the photos, videos and documents you choose in a vault separate from the Photos app. iPhone, iOS 16 or later.
- Opens only with a pattern you draw. A different pattern opens a different vault.
- No account and no ads. Files are encrypted on your iPhone; the company never sees your pattern.
- Forget your pattern and that vault can't be opened by anyone. There is no reset.

## Corrections

Found a step that doesn't match your iPhone? Tell us your model and iOS version through the VaultForYou website and we'll check it.
